We have had an irruption of Snowy Owls here this winter in the Ottawa area. (Ontario, Canada)
Just yesterday, April 23, I went into the city to photograph some passers by. This beautiful owl was resting before she would continue her journey further North.
The Snowy Owl is a large owl of the typical owl family Strigidae. It was first classified in 1758 by Carolus Linnaeus. Wikipedia
